I heard that Kaiden Guhle was on the table in a Montreal–Toronto trade, with Matthew
Knies going to Montreal. Toronto reportedly rejected the offer, which apparently included Guhle.
Personally, I would have tried something like this: Knies and Max Domi to Montreal, with Guhle and Josh Anderson going back to Toronto.
The cap hit would be almost even, and Toronto would get more physicality for the third line with Anderson. Guhle could shut down the opponent’s top players, and Morgan Rielly would have more freedom to play almost like a fourth forward while Guhle provides defensive coverage...

I don’t hate the trade and wasn’t being ignorant, just depleting your scoring to get a top d man doesn’t really solve anything if you can’t go out and get some other forward (Rw) to put up points, maybe instead of 2 bottom 6 forwards, include coranato or farabee.
Stop the hate “try to keep up” stay respectful to others opinions.

Hanafin is a rental, where as both buchnevic and parayko are multi year pick ups. That’s why I figure they’d fetch more than Hanafin
Gregor is just a contract at this point, won’t be on the leafs starting roster to begin the playoffs.
