I do not feel that Laughton is the right 3rd line center for the Leafs so I would prefer to keep McMann as his secondary scoring is an important factor for the Leafs.
I would prefer to target Ryan Donato for Leafs 3rd line center slot!

The Predators trade is a bit ridiculous. You are giving no value for two assets in Reilly and Schenn. Karlsson is declining, so no thanks for the money he makes it just wouldn't work. I like Laughton but McMann is just playing to well, and Dewar kills penalties so I'll pass. Might be able to get him for a 2nd round pick. I wouldn't do the last trade either, patches looks great for so little money.

As a Leaf fan I don’t really want O’Reilly or Schenn but if they are available for the low price of Holmberg and Meyers, a 4th line forward and a #7/ #8 defenseman then go for it!
Just can’t see Nashville ever agreeing to such a deal.

Niemala a top pairing defenseman?
In what alternative world might that happen.
Minten will hopefully become a good, 3rd line center and Niemala a good 3rd pairing defenseman.
The odds against any more progression than that would be similar to winning the Lottery!

Not a chance Nylanders contract is going to look really good in a few years from now and only core to show up in the playoffs consistently and ya the return is a start but the return isn’t there, better off with Marner both him and Willy have nmc and Marner wants too much money so work on a return for Marner.

It’s a crazy trade Paco but it’s what should have happened with the Leafs. Nylander should have been the one to go. I’d keep Marner over this guy any day of the week and twice in Sundays but another Tre mistake!

Number 1. switch Hyman's position to LW and change his potential to medium top 6 FWD if it's not already.
Number 2. trade Marleau to San Jose for later picks.

1. Hyman is already LW and has been for as long as I can remember.
2. SAN Jose cannot afford Marleau, even with Leafs retaining 50% (which is max allowed)
3. Gardiner is no longer a member of the team.
4. Moore has already been called up and is virtually guaranteed a spot on the team next year. Hutchinson over Sparks is a good idea.

the only thing is Nylander is really good for is his goal scoring (which we like), but then he gets caught offside and get penalties so many times his transition side of the game terrible and his lack of physical and defensive side of the game is way far beyond worst then anyone else on the team. i’m surprised that they kept him for 8 more years now get ready for 8 more years of disappointment from Nylander.
