You genuinely think you get that return for Stolarz and Carlo? ???
2.) 16 Jun 2026 12:47:07
Or any of those returns? And play a teenage rookie on his wrong wing?
3.) 16 Jun 2026 14:17:22
Maybe the Winnipeg deal is close. But the others are in the Leafs favour imo. If Anaheim wants to move MacT and his contract, Stolarz and Carlo might interest them, but can't see them adding Minty.
4.) 16 Jun 2026 15:18:19
ByGully, You r seriously ???.
5.) 16 Jun 2026 21:11:59
All of those trades are so one sided for the Leafs. The phone will be hung up by opposing GMs in a hurry. Not to mention if you are getting Hayton and Bourque. Bourque will be your number 2 centre and Hayton will be a winger to J.T. until he decides to let Hayon take the number 3 spot and he moves to wing.
07 May 2026 23:43:28
Really think that the Leafs should keep Matthews
Leafs trade Nylander to Hawks for 4th overall pick and 2nd '26 (Tor)
Leafs trade Rielly to the Sharks for 2nd '26
Leafs trade Stolarz to Canucks for DeBrusk
Leafs trade 2 2nds and Robertson to Stars for Harley
Leafs trade Domi to Jets for Barron
Leafs trade Myers, Maccelli and Benoit for picks
Draft McKenna and Reid or Verhoeff
Sign Laughton, P Kane, Marchment, Oleksiak and Raddysh

1.) 08 May 2026 01:14:38
Why would Dallas ever make that trade and give up Harley?
I like the Laughton and Raddysh Ufa signing ideas... but not sure about the other ones. P Kane is far too old, and I doubt Marchment will ever come back to TO.
2.) 09 May 2026 11:41:38
Kane is an absolute no.
06 May 2026 01:35:36
Toronto trades Nylander and Stolarz to Hawks for 4th overall pick and Toronto's own 2nd round pick.
1.) 06 May 2026 00:40:57
And then they have zero talent at RW.
2.) 06 May 2026 01:19:34
Terrible return and why are we trading for our own 2nd round pick? That doesn’t even make sense.
3.) 06 May 2026 14:25:23
Makes perfect sense. We gave them our 2nd rd pick for this year for Lafferty and McCabe. The 2nd rd pick we have is from the Laughton trade. Do ur homework b4 criticizing. The picks are great; add someone like Nazar, Greene, Levshunov or Rinzel to the mix and I make the trade.
That fourth is getting u a Rd or a C. If u get a Rd in the return you draft Malhottra.
4.) 06 May 2026 16:05:05
Chicago has 7 great young dmen that will grow together. They won't be giving up Rinzel or Levshunov, and Greene and Nazar are both 22 year old good young centremen. Which was Chicago's goal to build from the back and down the middle. Now they are looking to add Alex Tuch and are in the hunt for Raddysh as well to boost that D even more. I can see Chicago drafting Maholtra and eventually converting one of the young core of Centres to a winger.
I know some people will look at my suggestion with young guys from Seattle in my one post and say they won't give those up.
The thing is Seattle has massive depth with young players in their system, so they can give them up for that chance at number one pick. Chicago is not so much on that depth chart in the minors or junior. So they want to keep what they have. Hey, who knows... it all comes down to what the teams offer up. Wild things could happen. It could end up being a Domino effect all down that draft board and could be one of the craziest draft/trade days ever.
04 May 2026 19:21:56
- Robertson and Carlo to the L.A for Clarke
- Domi to Jets for Barron
- Rielly to Sharks for Musty and 26' 2nd
- Stolarz to Hawks for Burtuzzi
1.) 04 May 2026 20:51:01
Honestly, I could part with that, but keep in mind that’s two d-men, regular roster guys you have to sign in free agency to replace them by plenty of options to do so. Just saying, watch the wallet lol.
2.) 04 May 2026 21:46:50
L.A. is not giving uip Clarke for Robertson and Carlo that is a for sure.
Domi for Barron I could live with. Domi gets more points but Barron brings more size to your 4th with some offense and has potential to hit the 3rd line. Cheaper contract so yeah I would do that one.
Reilly to get rid of that Contract and get Musty and a 2nd I would do.
The last one with Stolarz. That one was put in there as a joke right? You want Chicago to take your injury prone back up goalie and you want them to give you their leading goal scorer from this year. Pretty sure as well that Bertuzzi has had enough of Toronto.
3.) 04 May 2026 22:05:53
Stolarz isn’t a backup goalie, it’s a tandem flock of seagulls. Stolarz is the better goalie. Trust me, I played the position at Junior B level.
4.) 05 May 2026 01:40:29
Not sure what your fixation with flock of seagulls is all about but I won't question your knowledge of Goalies now I know you played at a high level.
5.) 05 May 2026 02:06:00
It’s an old saying.
6.) 05 May 2026 02:08:07
A seagull is a bird that craps everywhere and contributes nothing.
7.) 05 May 2026 02:40:58
You can insult me all you want. It won’t change how I look at suggested trades. If I see good ones or good targets I let people know and why. If I don’t then I also point out why. I think I generally have valid reasons on why most will or won’t work. Once in a while I will just not want a player on the team for a variety of reasons. Whether people agree or disagree with my reasons that’s their perogative.
I know you don’t agree with my way I see the team improving and if you view me as a seagull well …. wear a hat because I’m pretty sure there are lot more seagulls on the site that might crap on your trades too. I’ve had people disagree with mine and never get upset with them. I still have interactions with no hard feelings.
8.) 05 May 2026 02:49:02
I am curious. If all the deals ByGully suggested we’re done why is it LeafsGM78 we need to replace 2 dmen?
9.) 05 May 2026 06:03:59
We’ll never question a former Jr B goalie!
10.) 05 May 2026 06:36:23
What is the flock of seagulls thing about?
Yes I heard about you at Junior B. You were that goalie that got shellshocked for 20 goals and jumped in front of the Subway that night to commit suicide but you failed because it went between your legs as well.
11.) 05 May 2026 09:44:15
I wasn’t padding my ego. I just meant at that level coaching becomes more intense. You start using video, you have an actual goalie coach, not someone's dad volunteering that sort of thing. I wasn’t trying to insult you. I enjoy the adversity. I just asked several times for suggestions on what your plan was and didn’t get a response, just more poo poo.
12.) 05 May 2026 10:29:19
Well, I think I, in most of my posts, have been pretty clear. That if we are retooling, we need to part with one big piece. Either Matthews, Nylander, or Knies. If we are rebuilding we need to determine which one we build around and which 2 get moved. I actually asked you quite a few times to outline your moves with your roster and how you would obtain that roster.
It generally came back to hardly moving anyone and looking at signing free agents. Which is not easy to use as a strategy when 31 other teams want those players as well. So going back to this actual post. You had said that if ByGully did all these deals he originally mentioned we would have to watch the wallet because we'd have to get 2 roster defencemen. Why would that be?
13.) 06 May 2026 04:12:32
Not sure why LA Kings would give up a young, RHD like Brandt Clarke for a 3rd line, undersized, LW like Robertson and a 30 year old (November) pylon like Carlo except Ken Holland isn’t too bright.

Why haven't they signed Tanev yet!!! They are screwing themselves if they don't do it before free agency . If it's after the deadline then it's an over 35 contract and buyout counts fully
1.) 01 Jul 2024 14:35:26
They have him signed now.
2.) 01 Jul 2024 14:42:59
We just did for 6 years at 4.5M.
30 Jun 2023 23:48:45
Can you please sign Schenn already!!!!
1.) 01 Jul 2023 01:32:44
Depends on the number.
Schenn's put together a few good seasons for himself now. He might be looking at a 3x3 from someone. I would not sign schenn to that.
2.) 01 Jul 2023 20:33:27
Schenn to Nashville I think 3 yrs 2.75
A little rich but will be missed
Thanks Schenn for giving us a good 2nd look at u. You’ve become a beast and enjoy Nashville
So Nashville has a cap hit of 6.55 for duchene and johansen and cap hit of 7.685 for Nyquist and oreilly. So 14.235 vs 16. Next year that cap hit goes up to 9.55 for those 2 meaning 17.235 is the cap on the 2 forwards replacing them. 3rd year johansen off books but duchene goes up to 6.55 and with Nyquist 3.185 and oreillys 4.5 jumps up to 11 million cap hit for the guy he replaced. Final year of oreilly contract duchene drops to 1.55 meaning oreilly is a6.05 against cap. Then Nashville keeps getting a cap hit if 1.55 for 2 more years. I mean yes they owed duchene 20 million and saved 11 in the end and saved 8 while paying 8 for johansen but 19 million saved vs
18 million actual dollars
saved but 24.37 spent on 2 replacing players.
Just thought I’d brake it down on how Nashville saved 12 million over 4 years in real money
48.475 is the 4 year cap hit used to replace 2 hits where johansen 16 over 2 and duchene 24 over 3 is 40 over 3
Anyways hope u liked the clarity and if not whatever Nashville isn't any better
So oreilly enjoy Nashville.

With the need for 2 new assistances why not add from the farm and hire AJ MacLean. And then add good o'l dad in Paul MacLean . He was a great addition to the Blue Jackets bench which just beat Toronto.
1.) 18 Aug 2020 02:46:44
I agree it's not a bad move. Boudreau is the hope for us all but if not then their are replacements.
2.) 19 Aug 2020 23:29:11
Jacques Martin anyone?
17 Aug 2020 02:21:53
All this talk of assistant coaches. Just get it over with. AJ MacLean is all ready in the system with the Marlies ( would be a great addition. Hockey is in the blood). And then hire his dad Paul MacLean. Lots of experience and was on the bench with the blue jackets that just bet the leafs.
DONE
1.) 19 Aug 2020 23:37:15
Jacques Martin maybe? "Anyone? Anyone? "
(That's a quite from Ferris Bueller's Day Off btw) .
21 Jan 2020 22:08:13
Why don't the Leafs try to sign Andrew MacDonald.. he blocks shots like nobody and eats minutes . Yes he was on a bad contact but so are a lot of other players. He would cost you nothing in picks or prospects. I'm sure he would sign league minimum as he's still getting paid. He played pretty well in the Spengler Cup. And while they are at it why not try to sign Scotty Upshall ( veteran leadership) and Alex Grant( for the Marlies and maybe a call up)
11 Dec 2025 23:19:58
What do you mean? Tavares and Carlsson down the middle and having Quinn Hughes on the back end would be amazing.
11 Dec 2025 22:30:54
What are you talking about? Having Travers and Carlsson down the middle would still be awesome and then add Hughes.
28 Jan 2025 22:59:05
Forgot SL.
28 Dec 2023 01:43:10
Who said anything about sending Hildebyto the Wild?
16 May 2023 10:14:25
That’s funny I was thinking something similar.
To the Ducks.
Marner, Lilejgren, Robertson and 2023 1st
To the Leafs
McTavish, Drysdale and 2023 1st ( second overall )
