That way we could take Stenberg and Smits rather than just McKenna or package that #9 + Col 1st + a prospect or high pick got Robert Thomas.
We still get an elite winger for Matthews and we get a guaranteed top 4 dman or a guy like Robert Thomas. I’d rather take McKenna but you can bet your bottom dollar San Jose is asking about bringing McKenna in to play with Celebrini.

In my opinion the Leafs entire future depends on getting 1, preferably 2 more picks in the first round this year. The amount of defensemen in the 1st round is insane. You can snatch a guy like Villeneuve in the late first or Tommy Bleyl.

This is probably the worst trade I’ve seen in a long time. Dallas would hang up the phone and fly to Toronto just to smack chayka for disrespecting him. Harley was the main piece in the WERENSKI deal and you think they would trade him for an old defenseman, a 4th liner, and a 2nd round pick. ????
