No thanks

2.) 24 Jun 2016 16:00:55
i believe you have posted trades trading 1OA. which part of NO CHANCE is confusing to you?

22 Jun 2016 12:33:04
Leafs- JVR, 4th rounder.
'Nucks- 5th overall

Leafs- 5th overall, Corrado
Oilers- Taylor Hall

Oilers end up with 4th & 5th overall and can draft 2 defenseman or a small

Elbandito

1.) 22 Jun 2016 12:57:58
To finish the post above, the Oil have picks 4&5 and can draft 2 d-men, draft a d-men and trade a pick for a top dman (to a team that may not have been able to fit Hall's contract in their cap scheme) or draft a dman and one of either Tkachuk or Dubois.

The Leafs may need to sweeten the pot for the Canucks by changing the 4th rounder to the 72 pick (NJ) insuring Van the opportunity to draft their second generation Ronning.

2.) 22 Jun 2016 13:26:36
leafs essentially trading JVR, 4th, Corrado for Hall. Not sure they'd do that, only advantage is that Hall is 3 years younger.

3.) 23 Jun 2016 14:10:08
I would definitly trade a 4th (which doesn't have much value) and corrado with JVR for hall

21 Jun 2016 13:41:52
Fakkin fat fingers! Did it again.

Leafs send
-Bernier
-Bozak
-Gardiner
-Corrado
-57th pick

Rangers send
-Mcdonaugh
-Kreider or Stepan
-2nd in '17

Elbandito

1.) 21 Jun 2016 13:49:56
If you add McDonaugh to the blueline it's a safe bet to draft a tender with the 31 pick.

2.) 21 Jun 2016 14:04:22
Flip one of either Kreider/Stepan (whomever was included in the deal) or JVR to get back into the 1st round.

Reilly-Zaitsev
McDonaugh-Carrick
Loov-Marincin

Harrington/Hunwick

3.) 21 Jun 2016 15:14:47
Back into the first round? That implies that they aren't picking in the first round (you only go back into something that you aren't currently in). Here's a newsflash, they are.

4.) 21 Jun 2016 15:32:59
you really wanna pay Derek Stepan 8 million a year til 2020? your are nuts. Best season was 24 goals and 57 pts.LOL. no thanks.

5.) 21 Jun 2016 15:36:59
DBF- Yeah back into the 1st. Do you think I've been living on Mars and don't know Leafs have the 1st overall? I think even Martians know this. I'm talking trading back into the first after losing Pittsburgh's 30th overall.

6.) 21 Jun 2016 16:49:23
not interested in stepan, too expensive long term. krieder I would consider in some kind of trade.

if it's true nyr is looking to trade mcd i'm not sure why. although paid 1 mil less per year then staal, I would consider him their no. 1 dman.

7.) 21 Jun 2016 16:58:24
I see your point BGdaddy, I'm looking for either to be a part of the Leafs, the 2 were just added as the extra cost to get McDonaugh. The Rangers are going to shake it up a bit but I still can't see them being able to unload Nash or E.Staal.

I would still try and flip either of them but the Leafs have time and cap space on their side, Stepan for 4 years won't kill them by any stretch. He could be kind of dangerous with Kadri and Komorov.

Maybe Leafs change the 57th to a 3rd rounder next year or leave the 57th in but add Lupul.

Just straying a bit from the same old names that keep getting regurgitated.

Cheers

8.) 21 Jun 2016 17:14:23

9.) 22 Jun 2016 13:43:10
8 million a year for 27 Stepan. I repeat 8 million a year for 4 years.absolutley not. Add in another 1.5 per and get Stamkos.

Just a thought here that I've posted on another site regarding Matthews trade rumors. Arizona isn't going to cripple themselves by moving Domi, Strome, OEL, Dvorak, 7th and 20th picks for 1 guy even if the guy is homegrown. It makes zero sense.

In the unlikely case Toronto moves Matthews, it would signify they know 100%, Stammer is coming to T.O.

Columbus may deal the 3rd. They need capspace in order to sign Seth Jones and all signs point to Hartnell being gone in the next few days with many teams interested. It is also known they interviewed Keller, Brown and Bean at the combine along with Puljujarvi and Tkachuk maybe in anticipation of trading down.

With all this in mind I propose this thought, it could be a 3way deal, which seldom happen but have happened in the past, or separate deals but here's the blueprint:

Arizona moves Hanzal, Laurent Dauphin, Jared Tinordi and the 20th overall to Columbus for the Jackets 3rd overall and Jack Johnson.

Arizona would then flip the 3rd, 7th, 37th, and Dvorak to Toronto for 1st overall and a prospect possibly Carrick or Loov.

This scenario allows Arizona to get their boy Matthews and bolster their blueline with Johnson without giving up Domi, Strome or OEL.

It allows Columbus to shed the salary of Johnson (along with the inevitable trade of Hartnell), while gaining decent prospects in Dauphin, Tinordi, Carrick/Loov. They still have the ability to draft a Keller or Bean. They could also move Hanzal at the deadline in April for more picks/prospects.

If a deal like this were to happen, it would mean Stammer will be a Leaf. The Leafs can then draft Puljujarvi or Tkachuk at 3 and Juolevi, Sergatchev or Chychrun at 7. It also gives them picks at 30, 31 and 37 which create endless trade possibilities.

Just a thought. LOL!

Elbandito

1.) 16 Jun 2016 08:41:16
I realize the trade deadline is in February not April, pardon the typo.

2.) 16 Jun 2016 13:31:29
Stammer or not leafs are not trading Matthews

3.) 16 Jun 2016 15:40:05
horrible trade for the Leafs. not nearly enough coming back. So you are suggesting they discount the value of Matthews if they "know" they are getting Stamkos. Two problems with that. why ever discount anyone. Matthews is worth a lot more than that, Stamkos siging or not. not going to give Arizona a break (well not going to trade the pick at all but just playing along here). Second problem is you won't "know' you are getting Stamkos until at least a week after the draft, so assuming you are and letting Matthews go cheap is a HUGE and stupid risk.

4.) 16 Jun 2016 16:53:03
It's more than enough payment for Toronto, 2 top 7 picks along with D-Vo and a top third second rounder will impact Toronto way more than the American Matthews ever could.IF Stammer is on the team. Keep track of the stats this coming season. If anything I thought Columbus might be getting shorted a bit. Trade is far from horrible there Buckshot!

5.) 16 Jun 2016 17:00:24
And BGdaddycool, as far as knowing what Stamkos is doing, they know 100%. Tampering charges are for ego driven retards like Burke when he was in T.O. announcing he's going to Sweden to woo the Sedins prior to free agency. Stammer, Lou and Shanny can keep there mouths shut the only question mark would be Stammer's agent and I'm pretty sure he could keep it shut knowing he'll get a percentage of 12.5m instead of 9m. He would also get a cut of Stammer's endorsement deals, so YEAH they do know! If you're not cheating you're not trying! Rules are made to be broken bud!

6.) 16 Jun 2016 17:37:21
Stamkos wants to stay in Tampa and will if they offer him anything over 9 million per year. If not he leaves. but he doesn't know yet, and he won't know for sure by the draft.bud.

7.) 16 Jun 2016 20:20:26
Hey Elbandito or whatever the you call yourself. WE'RE NOT TRADING THE FIRST PICK OVERALL!. does anyone here understand this?. unless it's a huge and I mean huge overpayment Matthews is going nowhere except to the six where he belongs. let's put this into terms where the less informed can understand. it's not about fair value it's about acquiring someone who this franchise has not had in quite sometime and buildiNG a championship team. how about we as Leaf fans embrace this kid because I think he's going to be a superstar;)

8.) 17 Jun 2016 06:22:12
Because you think he's going to be a superstar eh Sam Handy? I wonder how many people just like yourself would have posted that same comment regarding Yakapov, Patrick Stefan and Alexander Daigle. Just like the Steve Miller song says "take the money and run"

9.) 17 Jun 2016 22:43:32
Hey guys can't wait to see what "elbandito" has to say when a week from tonight leafs announce Matthews as no. 1 overall.

10.) 18 Jun 2016 00:21:58
Probably be something along the lines of Suck it! I won't be disappointed if we draft Matthews, I just feel he's worth more to us if he's dealt. I only posted the one trade scenario, I feel it's a fair deal for all involved. I don't pretend to have inside scoop or sources. I've given props to other fans postings such as a JVR trade. Also, on the flip side I reasoned with points on why I thought a deal for Anderson was overpayment. I'm here because I'm a fan and I do enjoy reading most posts, some make me see players in a different light or force me to think outside the box. Chumps like BGdaddytool and Sammy
Handjob shoot their yips off at every single post from their mom's basements safezone and it got old fast. Now we got you chiming in from the peanut gallery. I love how you start your post with "hey guys" like you need to round up their approval instead of coming like a man and asking me flat out what my retort will be when Matthews pulls on the jersey. Talk to ya after the draft Cocket9!

11.) 18 Jun 2016 05:49:13
Wow aren't you creative with your lingo and name calling of others? Can't wait until you graduate grade 3.

I don't need approval from others, but enough other guys told you you were way off and you went crying to momma.

By the way what will your retort be when leafs draft Matthews and he puts on jersey?

Enlighten US ALL!!

I clicked send by accident on the above post. To complete the thought;

Bernier would be a great understudy in New York. The Rangers are also lean on the blueline with the departure of Yardley and possibly Girardi.

Leafs send:
Bernier

Elbandito

21 Jun 2016 13:26:53
With Andersen now in the fold, Bernier is on borrowed time with the Leafs. Calgary isn't going to move anything worth having for Bernier especially with Reimer and Fleury's availability.

I think there is a deal to be made with the Rangers possibly. The Rangers are going to make a few big name changes over the offseason although I don't think they'll be able to move Nash. Lundqvist realistically has 1 or 2 more runs left before simply becoming a victim of age and reflex. Who better to mentor Bernier for 2 more seasons before he takes the net full time while older and more mature

Elbandito

1.) 21 Jun 2016 20:06:39
The thing is Reimer is going to want term and MAF apparently is going to cost a 1st and 6th Rd right now. Bernier has a year left on his contract and with the expansion happening next season goalies will be cheaper, and better goalies at that. Bernier would not be a bad choice for Calgary in exchange for a 2nd Rd pick, since they have 3 2nd Rd picks, that or Calgary will stay with ramo or whoever else was there until next year.

Or. Dubois is the second coming of Nick Ritchie, for whom the masses (including Grapes) roasted the Leafs for selecting Nylander ahead of!

Offer sheeting Jones will bite you in the ass 3 years from now when Columbus has cap space and Leafs have RFAs like Nylander, Marner, Timoshov, Brown, Soshnikov, Harrington and Dermott. Don't start the war.
