Ana Trades - Nick Ritchie, Jacob Larsson, 24th OVA
Essentially Jvr for Ritchie and 24th
Komorov, Percy for larsson.

-don't want to trade JVR but fowler big upgrade for blueline and pirri and pick hopefully SOMEWHAT make up for JVR down the road
-JVR and ritchie pretty much same type of player with JVR obviously further along and anaheim is looking to win now
-fowler definitely upgrades leafs top 4
-keep komarov
-larsson certainly more unknown right now over fowler
-ana doesn't have 2nd this year. they do not give up their 1st
-percy. oh well not much there (nice pick BB) (three years in minors and still not sure what he is)
-at this point if I had to choose I would take fowler over JVR

Ritchie would be a nice add; but I don't think the Ducks will part with him. His first year was disappointing though.
Larson looks promising, but hasn't played anywhere we can truly guage his level.
And I think you are undervaluing JVR. Take Komorov out of the deal and replace him with Bozak.

I like Rocket9's analysis and most opinions are valid. Leafs are looking for a RH defender and a goalie. If Vantanen were part of that package I would go:
Tor: JVR, Percy, Loov, Kapanen
Ana: Vatanen, Anderson, and that 3rd.

Wow chrisdafish and I agree for once. I would do your revised trade but I don't think Anaheim would trade their 1A goalie and top 4 dman for JVR and 3 marlies and pick.
Percy--very pedestrian
Loov--has some upside with still 1 year left to become RFA
Kapanen--has some upside--not there yet

I think that it's to much. Look at it this way would you give Jvr and let's say dubois from this year assuming leafs end up with the 3rd or 4th for dougie hamilton and a pick at 17 or higher. doesn't really work on the leafs end.

I don't think bibeau or sparks will be a number 1 in the nhl, they both aren't technically sound. While last year goal tending lost the marlies the playoffs.

I could see ritchie and their first this year for JVR and maybe evewn throw something else in like add leivo, Holland, or a later pick. JVR will be gone in 2 years might as well add pieces for the future to get value from him.
