Philadelphia gets more picks to either use or flip and Torts could try to develop Dewar into Laughton lite
Toronto gets a cost effective player plus room to try for another D
Columbus has a ton of cap space, may as well use it
I don't see Philadelphia getting a 1st from anyone for Laughton.

The problem is there is so much interest in him because he’s the cheapest centre available that it’s gonna cost at minimum a 1st in which idk if I like that price tag.

Definitely would not want to see the Leafs trade a 1st round pick, Cowan, Minten or Danford for Laughton.
Laughton is a 2nd round pick plus a prospect level of player.
Someone Tortorella would really like is Grebenkin.

Not my trade, don't remember where I read it, but I like it.

Green is not worth a 2nd round pick. Heck, Green isn’t even worth zaitsev. Love to get rid of Zaitsev and that dump truck contract of his, but not for old man Green. Green has gotten so bad that he basically has to lay down on the ice flailing his arms and legs about and hope that the puck hits him instead of making it to the goalie as a shot on net. Detroit would be the ones giving up the 2nd, not the other way around.
I never thought I would ever say this, but I really do think I would actually rather just keep Zaitsev.

As far as Stone, I'd love him and if the Sens start to drift it's a possibility. If they continue to do well then Stone would be harder to get. I'm not Ottawa management staff so I have no clue if they'd deal him or not.

The Toronto Maple Leafs as of right now, I think they should hold what they have and make a couple minor tweaks to the roster (unless they can get a top 2 Dman for a decent price)

What's the rush in trading away Robertson, Jarnkrok and Kampf?

Kampf cleared waivers so no reason to trade him he can play for the Marlies until needed or a trade presents itself. Laughton is out for a couple weeks which gives Cowan a chance to prove himself while giving the leafs the ability to keep Robertson and Jarnkrok as fail safes if Cowan needs to return to the Marlies to build his game.
No trades necessary. Run the team with the players you have until Laughton comes back. Make the decision on Cowan at that time and go from there.
I personally think Cowan should return to the AHL and build his game playing top minutes, top PP and PK. No need to rush him.

Trading Kampf still clears $1.15M in cap space, unlike a regular Marlie who makes less. Robertson is because it's time to move on. I think the Leafs still want to move him because he holds some value, but teams are hoping to nab him for free on waivers. Jarnkrok is still a solid bottom 6 player, but may not be able to push his way into the lineup.

I'm a bit of a MacKenzie Blackwood fan and I think he'd be a solid goalie to share the net with Campbell. Just want to know what the leafs would need to give up to get him, or if New Jersey would be willing to move him at all.
Team friendly 2.8 Mill contract.
Maybe move Freddie's rights to give the Devils a chance to resign him.

This is not really a trade post, just curious as to why people are jumping on the plan B bandwagon, just because we didn't get Stammer doesn't mean we need to go out and Eric Staal or David Backes, we have 3 solid centermen with Kadri, Matthews and Bozak and if need be we can have Nylander jump from Rightwing to Center. There is no reason to get rid of Bozak yet.
I'd much rather move the contracts of Michalek, Greening, Lupul and Robidas.
The last time we jumped on the plan B bandwagon we got Tim Connolly. Let's not make that mistake again, continue building from within. Unless we are getting a top 2 defenseman there is no reason to make a big splash in free agency.

I agree but I think they should really keep Greening I thought he played pretty good hockey after he got into some games and he has an edge if he needs to stand up for some of his younger team mates
