Jones went for a centre who (statistically speaking) was a shade better than Kadri. CBJ stole him but this proposal is a major overpayment IMO

I would do that trade in a second ryan johanson is a lot better the nkadri and is a legit first line centre. Jones is already really good and is locked up a reasonable cap hit.

2017 draft isn't that weak, its still a year away so lots of time for the players to grow still. Lots of players in this draft that moved up a lot after being nobodies not long ago.

2017 draft isn't that weak. Wait until the Nolan Patrick talk gets going. He maybe in the same class as Matthews. There is also Liljgren and Comtois. While it may not have the forwards like this draft it does have some high end defenders. Leafs could use a Foote or a Hague in their system

Hunter capped the bed on this draft 31st pick not the worst pick he might superseded a lot of us but should have been packaging picks with salary dumps or drafting real Dman wtf

They did the best with what they had, most GMs said that it was next to impossible to move up, as every GM was very protective of their picks. I believe they went the right direction to make the team more competitive in the near future drafting some skilled size to go along with our small skill. They picked up a few d men but it was too expensive to move up enough to grab one of the top d men in the draft.

J dawn they didn't have to move up from 31 to get a great Dman like clauge or Niemalinean then package 2 or 3 draft picks + 1 or 2 prospects and a bad contract in return for a lesser bad contract

Really don't like his size and we need D there's 2 great guys there for the 31st pick (excuse the spelling just woke up) Niemalinean and klague. Both will be amazing one is 6 foot 6 and the other wicked skater.
