TOR: JVR and Gardiner
EDM: 4th pick plus others

Toronto gets Tkatchuk to play with Market and Matthews (both he's played with before so instant chemistry)
Edmonotn gets a forward with size and an offensive defenseman who is cheaper than a top dman. Also opens them up to trading a forward straight up for a dman.

JVR is much better than Tkachuk, so why not just keep him and save from wasting Gardiner as 'throw-in'

If the Leafs trade JVR, it's for a top 4 D-man!

Edmonton is taking Dubois or trading the pick, Pittsburgh is looking for a first round pick so they might be a trade partner for Edmonton. Leafs don't need tkachuk. If they are trading JVR it should be to get a pick and a D-man. Jersey might be open, especially since Lou should have a good relationship there to maybe swing Larsson and their first. Just don't know what they'd want with JVR to get that done.

I think Dubois turns out a better stronger pick than Mathews and would prefer him
