I've written for the possibility of maybe trading Matthews but not for that package. You have to get least one proven player and a first rounder to even consider it.

Obviously Matthews is going to be a franchise player, but with Nylander and Marner coming up I think it would be more beneficial to get some solid wingers. Maybe acquire the same people but add their 2nd overall pick?

He would basically be a Franchise Player to us - Toronto.

I'll reiterate as I have many times before, if the Leafs get 1st and can draft Matthews, you do not trade him for anything unless that person is McDavid! Marner is better suited as a winger like P. Kane, so it is ideal to get Matthews!

I think JVR will be a good fit in Toronto; even within their rebuild years. He showed this year that he has the talent to produce points even with his sub-par team. This probably will never happen, but.

This does't make any sense for Edmonotn. Why does Edmonton want a UFA defensman? Polak will go to a contender, and the Oilers certainly aren't. And with the recent chemistry of Eberle and Mc D I don't see him going.

I love it, but highly unlikely. I doubt Winnipeg will give 3 top prospects, but who knows.
