Unless Kassian is going beside Mathews he won't look as good in a leafs jersey. He gets setup by two of the best in the world right now.
I wouldn't give up that much for dillon.
Rather have something better for Kapanen. Don't really want more quantity for quality.
Timashov a favorite of mine don't want to give him up unless a physical guy comes back.

Kassian should be with Mathews to create some space for him. Bracco at the most for Dillon no pick needed. See ya Kappy if we could get Hamonic and Bennett for you. But ya i'll keep Timishov for that offer!

The problem is lads we need toughness. Josh Anderson, Wayne Simmonds, Austin Watson. These guys are gamers in the playoffs. We also need a backup tendy.

Mathews has been doing great on his current line why would you change that for Kassian? I know he's having a decent season but let's not get carried away right now. Even Engvall is probably a better player. Kassian as a 3rd line bruiser I would be ok with but not more.

You brought in three defensemen without trading any out. We would be drowning in defensemen: Larsson, Barrie, Dermott, Ceci, Marincin, Hamonic, Dillon, Sandin, Liljegren, Reilly and Muzzin when they return
Even if you dropped Sandin, Liljegren, Marincin, you would still have 8 defensemen.

Even if we had to add I would. We are in the midst of three games where Freddy looked bad. Not sure why but he has. This is exactly what every game would look like if Freddy got hurt. Can't rely that much on one guy in my opinion. Freddy pulled and hutch let's in 2 shots immediately. Can't continue like that. If Freddy got the hook and another goaltender came in and shut the door could have at least made it close.

Other than value, the big issue for me is do we really need both Manson and Vatanen? I would think only one would be necessary. Otherwise we have too many defensemen. Especially on right side.

I think these are great trade options for the playoffs. Leafs GM In the playoffs you need to have Manson and Dillon types. It’s a war out there. This is not European hockey. You see how the leafs are making out trying to play with no muscle. Out of the playoffs. I rest my case.

Nylander is way too much for those players. Take him out and put in Kapanen and Hamonic instead of Brodie and it‘s a deal.
