With lybushkin now I'm not worried about depth anymore. Dzingel and Clifford are both depth options and if it gets bad enough, Knies and Robertson.
On D you still have Dermott, Holl, Sandin, Lybushkin and Lili all as options to fill out the 4-5-6.

Exposing Quick doesn’t mean Seattle takes him.
Galchenyuk is not worth a 4th round pick. He passed waivers remember. He cost the Leafs a couple hacks that likely never make the NHL. Which means that you value Andersen more than Quick here.
But I don’t think you really believe Andersen is the better goalie. Or you wouldn’t suggest trading him for Quick.

I agree the sharks are going to trade a defenceman, but i don't think the leafs should pick up Braun unless San Jose takes all of Marleau's contract.

if and when the Leafs trade Kessel. Image he being traded to a team and coach that is defensive minded first (the Wild and Devils in the early 2000's)or just simple hard ass coach. Coachs like Hitchcock, Trotz, Sutter or Hartley might kill me.

both players are not playing up to their teams expections.
about same age, same size and shot the same way.

Making the playoffs for Leafs are slim. So, taking in 16 million in contracts, (specially 2 long term deals) doesn't make sense.

percy left as a free agent in the offseason. Believe he is in the Pens system now.

Lupul has 2 years left 5.25 per year
Lehtonen has 2 years left 5.9 per year
So, the Leafs might better off going after Niemi instead, because he is cheaper and is more of a backup goalie instead of Lehtonen.
Niemi has 2 years left at 4.5 per year.
