Word is leafs are trying to find a suitor for Marincin and then will sign Polak to be the teams 7th D.

Problem is that vegas has saturated the trade market with available bottom pairing defenders and its become hard to move Marincin as he's an overpaid option as a #7D

Waiver him. He's not worth keeping anyway.

Borgman was better this pre-season, and he's green to the North American version of hockey.

If someone claims Marincin then the cap is lowered by 1.875 M.

It's not like he was a productive player, can't skate well enough, and too many defensive faults.

I'm sure no one wants him, otherwise a trade would have been completed already.

Just waive him. He's not going to turn into Chris Pronger.

The word is common sense? That is a stupid claim, even if true. When the OP says 'the word is' that means that that is the rumour, the talk around the league, etc. If he is making that claim, he has to state where it is coming from otherwise it is nothing but BS.

trade Marincin to the Avs for Duncan Siemans.

both players are not playing up to their teams expections.

about same age, same size and shot the same way.

change of scenery is needed both ways.
