Would Christian Dvorak be good target for the Leafs at TDL? Once you get the cap to work, he could be a good fit alongside Marner and Tavares or slide onto the 3rd line.

If the leafs can get rid of Zaitsev’s bad contract I say go for it, Edmonton won’t finish very high even if they do make the playoffs. As long as that pick isn’t lottery protect, I like it.
We might be able to Flip Spooner anyway to get rid of his 3.1 mill.

There is absolutely no way Carolina makes that trade without having Panarin signed to an extension first.
Leafs don’t need No Hurry Murray. Especially if they are bringing Pesce in. Would rather just make the trade for Panarin and keep him.

3 names the could be targets for Leafs at deadline (most to least expensive):
Bennett (FLA): if florida is in jeopardy of missing the playoffs, they'll probably look to recoup some assets and I'm sure teams will be calling asking for Bennett. Could fit nicely in Leafs middle 6.
Dvorak (MTL): Habs likely miss the playoffs and look to sell of pieces they don't plan on building around. Thinking Dvorak falls into this category. Could fit on 2nd or 3rd line. Played with Marner in jr, could rekindle some chemistry and be prodoctive.
Kuraly (CBJ): Physical, good defensively bottom 6 forward. Would only really look to add this guy if comfortable with top 6 and looking to add some grit and what not to the bottom 6

I doubt Bennett is available. They got him dirt cheap, so unless it's a big overpayment, why would they move him?

I may be one of the lone people in this camp, but I don't think depth forwards or D does anything. You need someone to play LW in the top 6 or a top 4D to ease the load on Sandin at his age. I don't think anything else helps much.

@RLF he would be, but as you say, lost opportunity. I can't see the Panthers giving him up now.
Fiala should be another one Dubas looks back on with regret. That's one a lot of us would have been happy with.
