So Levisw - according to you, the Blues would SEND to us THREE "D"men (TWO of which are young quality guys) Plus Shattenkirk (27) AND Fabbri (Quality young "C") - PLUS a Goalie - Elliot and to top it off - a #2 Pick.
Do you think that they could afford to send us THREE of their "D" guys at once from their NHL roster?
I would personally love it to happen BUT .

Still trying to feel out the value of Kadri.he's been playing decent lately. would love every to bring more top prospects into the fold. Mite be a lot but he's 25 and would look good in their top 6 maybe even on the wing. Come down to how bad they want him. At the dead line teams seem to sell the farm if they feel they are one or 2 pieces away from a long run at the cup.

Kadri and polak to Tampa for Drouin carle and a 2nd. Allows a cap dump for Tampa to resign stammer and trade away a young prospect with issues for another with issues. Change of scenery does everyone some good.

i'm not convinced stammer is the answer in toronto….i think we need to be bad for another 2 years at least and by that time as mentioned Johnny T will be looking for a new contract…. however regardless where stammer signs providing Tampa with cap relief will allow them to resign Stammer or any one of their top guns that are going to be looking for a raise. If stammer chooses Toronto then great…if not….i won't cry about it.

Stamkos would be a much better fit in Edmonton than T.O. plus Oilers have more movable pieces.
Let's look at the red wings and black hawks as examples. What's another year or two, 67" was a lifetime away for me and many, but, there are as many seeing being patient, waiting and appreciating the buds rebuild.
