Toronto has always lacked a number one goalie prospect and With Reimer being traded we have no good goalie for the futures and I think Saros could be that

Totally agree. Rarely does a good number one goalie come onto the market. The last one was scooped up by Lou for a 9th pick. VERY worth it. I think we'll see a couple picks in June being goalies;)

Montreal is in need of a goalie until price is available to return
Mon- James Reimer
Tor- Nikita Scherbak
Toronto is building up a strong pool of skilled prospects, might be an overpayment from Montreal but Reimer is a good goaltender and he won't go for nothing

Shrebak is a good prospect but there are others within Montreals organization that I would want. Sure the Leafs management went for smaller skilled players throughout most of the 2015 draft, but you can't ice a team full of players 5'11" and under. They now have to be selective of which prospects they get because there are holes with defensive defenceman prospects, goaltending prospects, #1centreman, top-pairing defenceman, and lastly power forwards. Michael McCarron, Zach Fucale, Dalton Thrower, Jacob Del Rose, Noah Juulsen are guys to target from Montreal. It'll cost more than just Reimer but we have players to help Montreal get into the playoffs. Pains me to say it but its better than them getting a chance at Auston Matthews

Honestly, I don't know what the hype is about Montour and why he could fetch JVR + he's already 22 only 8 NHL games has same numbers as carrick in the ahl I'd rather keep jvr and see if Anaheim can give up one of their more proven defenders and If not just keep JVR.

So you have bracco and soshnikov playing ahead of marner who's going to be even better than he is now and right now is very dominate at 19 I don't think bracco will get first line ice time in probably his first season especially over marner and Nylander.

This has got to be the worst trade I've ever seen on the site I really wouldn't even give carrick he's been pretty good defensively this season.

Rather Nylander than Patrick awful proposal we don't even need a centre we have Matthews if you're forgetting and when bozak gone we'd still have Kadri and still good prospects to come in Patrick would be our 3rd line centre. People might not agree but Kadri is indeed a first line centre he'll play on the 2nd line though obviously
