So I'm not to sure if Montreal is willing to trade their first round pick but we could give it a shot. I was thinking
To Montreal: Jvr, 2nd round pick (Toronto)
To Toronto: 9th overall (Draft Jacob chychrun)

Why? JVR is a 2nd OA pick, proven NHL 30-goal scorer on a great contract. Why give that up for an "unknown" in a 9th OA pick?
Value would have to be very very good to trade JVR, like a young top 4 NHL D-man!

If you believe that trading roster players for picks is a good idea - I believe that Vancouver would be willing to trade the 5th OA pick for JvR - they are not rebuilding.

To tampa: bozak or Pitts 1st, caps 2nd
To Toronto: Ben bishop + a 3rd
Finally gives the leafs a good starting goaltender and if stamkos isn't signed gives Tampa a good 2nd-3rd line center

I figured that was a 2nd in 2017 not 2107. But if it 2107, that means the Leafs are really planning for the future.

Bishop will be 30 years old in November plus a free agent after this upcoming season.

I think that's a bit much for for Barrie. Gardiner and Pitts first would do it. Maybe even throw in a 3rd to sweeten the deal.
