Sharks: Toffoli

Toffoli is a fine middle 6 forward, a good leader and a local boy. But your proposal is an overpay when you include Hildeby since Goalies are hard to come by and if Stolarz walks we just lost our backup. Toffoli is a 50pt/ season guy. Maybe he might get 60-70 playing along side our top guys but that is a maybe.
SJ would need to retain 50% on Toffoli and gives us Dellandrea as well if they want Hildeby. Otherwise, the offer is the same as you propose less Hildeby.

Toffolli as a natural RW would certainly fit a need for the Leafs.
Toffolli was a -21 last season but playing for the Sharks, that isn’t surprising.
For his career Toffolli is a +68
30 goal scorer and if he can be acquired for what is offered above I feel it would be a good trade.

@fbg hildeby is undervalued by a team like San Jose who just traded for askarov last summer. Bringing in hildeby is on no real use to them.
