Since the Leafs put Enroth on waivers how about this trade.

Sparks
Holland
Jets trade:
Pavelec
Leafs can afford the cap hit and Pavelec is in the AHL so Sparks can takeover there.

makes sense to me. pavelec would be better than whoever we're going to use to replace enroth and both players we'd be letting go don't benefit us too much. don't know the jets depth enough to know if it would be beneficial enough to them but at least theyd have the contract of pavelec off their books

Seems like a good match though I agree with Shannaplan that we should be getting a later pick back for helping them with their "Pavelec" problem. Maybe include Leivo to help the buds roster/contract# problem and include a 3rd coming back (leafs don't have one of those right now).

Take Carrick out of it. We can't afford to lose RH D.
We are already need to improve there and you exchange two for a lefty we don't need, unless we want to upgrade.
I like both the players, but if you want Lindholm you have to trade Gardiner and not Carrick.
At that point the Ducks would have to give up more.

Tor: JVR, Gardiner, Polak
Ana: Lindholm, Fowler, Montour

Getting a dman like Manson won't be cheap and Kapanen might be a player like his dad but Manson is something the Leafs need on the back end.
I'd take Manson over Polak.
