I would personally love Columbus trade. However, Columbus stars with Nylander in order to give up Jones.

The other deal is actually close. Good trade value as long as Gardiner has extension.

You're vastly over valuing Nylander. Nylander on his own is no where close to landing Seth Jones. You would need to add your first and another decent prospect/ player to get close. Even then I can't see a reason for CLB to do it, especially when you factor in contacts.

Seth Jones is their franchise player. I think Columbus would have to seriously consider the Nylander proposition. Especially if they do lose Panarin. But at the end of the day it’s “Thanks, but No Thanks. ”.

Seth Jones is already an elite NHL Defensman and will only get better.
If Keikalainen was to make this deal he should be shot not just fired.
Trades have to benefit both teams not be completely one sided.

Didn't he just get an extension today.

Now he can make this deal get fired and get paid a huge sum of cash due to the extension then get hired by leafs for overseas scouting without caring because Columbus is paying his salary. then Leafs draft a Finnish dude we've never heard of and he becomes the second coming of Lidstrom. only Finnish

I think you are vastly undervaluing nylander. He is a lot closer to Jones than you give him credit for I'd say nylander and a second would be equal value for Jones. Just because Larsson got jersey hall doesn't mean every gm is chiarelli. Back to back 60 point seasons in your first 2 seasons is definitely worth so value. Not to mention his control.

What brings a jets fan onto the leads page anyways.
