Toronto needs a rugged winger to protect Austin so here is my deal.

Toronto send: J.Bracco & T.Lilegren

Columbus send: N.Foligno & 5th

How about Foligno and a 1st? And, omit Lilegren? or make 5th a second rd

Go Leafs!

The only thing awful about this post was the last response given.

Foligno is highly approved by his teamates and coaching staff. he would be hard to pry from colombus contract or not. i think the original deal is a bit off but definetly not that far off. good suggestion on trade target. Foligno would definetly help protect matthews.

Foligno is making too much money and Toronto can't afford him next year. Plus he has a NMC and I doubt he waives it 1 week before the trade deadline. The Blue Jackets are his home.

Your giving up too much for him anyway. I don't think we should give up two of our top prospect for a player that is in his 30's and whose play is declining.

Neither of these players will suit up for Toronto and Foligno plays tuff. If you think you could also pry a first or second go nuts. All I'm saying is Foligno is the type of edgy player we need.

What’s with all you people out there are you all had some bad turkey back at Christmas and your still eating the leftovers, why are you consistently trading the only good RHD prospect we have, I didn’t even like the fact that Dubas traded Durzi a RHD man and he’s still in junior and unsigned. Leave Liljegren be already, on top of that Dubas has also said he’s not trading Liljegren or Sandin so give it a rest.

Rideshog
Dubas never said he wasn’t trading Liljegren he actually tried trading him over Grundstrom the kid isn’t all what he’s cracked up to be very injury prone already hasn’t played close to a full season and really hasn’t produced Sandin is our next up and comer.

Dude, have you not read what Dubas has been stating over the last month on websites, to the news, during interviews, etc. He has literally said like 9 times that he isn't trading Sandin, Liljgren, or another first.

And Liljgren and Bracco will make the NHL, maybe as soon as next year for Bracco, and if not next year then surely the year after. He is like another version of Kapanen. Liljgren is about the same as Bracco, 1 year out at max.

Hollowell is also a good rhd prospect for the leafs.

Don’t you want to throw in Marner as well.

Dubas said he wasn’t trading those players for a rental maybe go back and re read it.

As you seen tonight we don’t need little defencemen if the leafs want to win they need toughness and grit.

Would like Foligno would prefer Jenner.

Leafs could turn Bracco Liljegren into more going forward.

I like Foligno. But prying Columbus’ captain away from them when they already stand to lose so muc seems like an impossible task. CapFriendly is down, so I couldn’t doublecheck his contract, but I believe he has a few years left, so wouldn’t a rental. I don’t think Leafs should be trading their top defense prospect for another high priced forward, however, and even though Foligno would be a welcome addition if we could afford him, I suspect Leafs would be better served keeping Liljegren for now and maybe looking for another way to go about this.
