I have high hope for Timmins this season. They said he stayed in Toronto all summer to workout and gained 15lbs of muscle in a couple months. Unfortunate injury but I’d love to see him play this year if he doesn’t go in the Calgary deal.

Clarky. Interesting for sure. Everyone knows I like McBain, so I am interested right there. He is out week to week right now though. Not sure Arizona wants to move Durzi yet.

How about remove Durzi, Niemela and Minten and add a 1st from Toronto.

Dumba (50%) and McBain for Klingberg, Liljegren, 2024 1st and 3rd.

Does that work?

We know Treliving wanted Dumba, so this gives him the chance to extend him and McBain expires an RFA in another season. If Leafs extend Dumba at a reasonable number, it could work out well for the Leafs and Yotes.

Remove Dumba and Liljegren.
I feel that Liljegren (24 years old) is already as good as Dumba (29 years old) at 1/ 3rd the price and has upside where Dumba will never be more than what you see.

Durzi and McBain for Niemala, a 2024 - 1st & 3rd, Klingberg.

@WB. Think about it for a second without your feelings for Liljegren.

Why would Arz trade a 25 year old right shot D-man they are playing 23 mins a night and is just under a point a game along with their heart and soul 23 year old 3/ 4C for a prospect, a late 1st, a 3rd AND take on Klingberg to make it work. If Treliving made that kind of trade for the Leafs, you would be freaking on him.

But WB in what world is Lily better than Dumba? Dumba is actually physical and can move guys in front of the net plus he can put up decent offensive numbers. Not saying Lily never will be but he is not as good as Dumba now, which is why he is a third of the price.

@RLF I think you may need to add more to that deal. Dumba retained, McBain and taking Klingberg is going to cost us Minten with top prospects or draft picks. Durzi is only on a one year deal making 1.7M. Maybe after a good year, he won’t want to resign in Arz and they have to move him by the TDL?
