My dream deadline.

Trade 1 on deadline. Toronto trades Kapenen. Barrie. Timothy Liljegren 6th round pick to wild for Dumba Brodin and conditional 5th pick. Turns to a 4th if Toronto wins 1 round of playoffs.

Trade two. Mid day trade at deadline. Toronto trades Johnson. Jeremy Bracco and Timashov to Montreal for max Domi and conditional 3rd turns to a 2nd if max Domi resigns.

Trade 3 late day trade right at the end. Toronto trades Fredrick Gauthier and alex Kerfoot to San Jose for Dillon and a pair of second round picks 2021 2022

Playoff all in line up

Mikyev Matthews Marner
Hyman Tavares Nylander
Engvall Domi Spezza
Clifford alberg AHL callup

Reilly Dumba
Muzzin Brodin
Sandin Dermott-Dillon

Why the Dillon trade? Also, is Domi not an RFA? Why would it be conditional on him resigning if he must resign or be sent away.

Let the dream end.

Your right. Then make it just a regular mid round 2nd pick

Then perhaps Dermott and Gauthier plus Kerfoot for Dillon and the picks.

Why would you trade all three of Kerfoot, Johnsson, and Kapanen.

And why does everyone want to trade Barrie? He still has 32 points in 57 games this year. Yes maybe this isn't good as his recent years, but after Keefe took over he has been on a 60+ point streak in a full season. With Reilly out we need him for the offence on the blueline.

I like that idea Randy. Not sure if I have ever heard of that before but that's interesting.

Dermott and goat is a massive overpay for Dillon. Dillon plays hard but is a bottom pairing guy.

My dream deadline does not include trading Liljegren nor Kerfoot. Dillon does not help much and a significant overpayment on the other 2 deals.

All of these are significant overpay. And our forward depth is decimated. If I counted correctly, you are trading out at least five forwards and only bringing one back. Domi isn’t even all that great of a forward either. He’s not bad, but he’s not much better than Kapanen or Johnsson or Kerfoot. He had one good year, and that was an anomaly. Those forward lines you posted look terrible. You have an injured Mikheyev, who isn’t expected back until playoffs, playing top line beside Matthews. What if he doesn’t return? Who goes plays in his place and who do you call up to fill the gap? Right now on the fourth line all you have is AHL call up for 4RW. So now you will have two AHL call-ups, basically means our fourth line is an AHL line of players. That would be easy pickings for the other teams.
