Why would anyone want to lose Holl? Most consistent defenceman we have over the last 2 seasons.
You really need to include term and dollars sometimes or else it's very hard to comment on signings.

WHO would ever give 2 picks and a prospect for Andersen? He is injured, on an expiring contract, and has won ONE playoff series in 8 years.

Is it really the defense a lot of the time though? They may not be the best defensive group but until the 3 forwards on the ice learn to play without the puck it could be 6 all stars and wouldn't get much better.

It’s the goalie. Andersen coming back from injury has not been himself. This goalie situation blew up in Dubas’ face in a big way. All last year, all off season, and all this year everyone screaming for a proper backup. We just finally got one now. Too little too late. If we had Campbell in net the whole year, Leafs would have 6-8 more points than they currently do and would be a little more comfortable in the playoff race. If Leafs miss the playoffs by 2 points, does Dubas get fired? I personally wouldn’t be surprised, especially with how well Islanders are doing, though in all likelihood he more than likely gets one more year.

I said it at the time of the Campbell trade. If it only took Moore and a pair of thirds, why was this not done sooner? I don't understand it.
Freddy played well against the sabres but he hasn't been himself. Maybe if Campbell could have played all season Freddy would be well rested right now though. I'm sure you can play Campbell 30 games/ season instead of only one back to backs like it was with Hutch.
I would really like to see Campbell split time with Freddy down the stretch if he continues to play well.

According to rumours. They are trying to find a partner for trading Zaitsev. That’s why i included him in the trade because they will have to cut a couple players if they want toy keep Gardiner. I see him and brown being the 2. Teams know that he’s signed for another 4 years so the 2nd pick is thrown in instead of eating up salary.
In a perfect work that would be a nice lineup. I’m just hoping they make a couple more moves.

Lots of canes and leafs trades here. Here’s my blockbuster.
Toronto acquires Justin Faulk. Brett peche and Ferland.
Canes acquire Timothy Liljegren Nikita Zaitsev. Andreas Johnson. 2nd round pick. Conner brown.
Almost dollar for dollar. Canes take Zaitzev if we give them the 2nd rounder.
Trade 2.
Leafs reaquire Jvr from philly for Jeremy Bracco and 4th round pick. Maybe add another pick on top.
These trades make the leafs heavier which Babcock wants. Your lines after deadline.
