Marner with his expectations are worth less than Provorov. Frost will be a 1/ 2c in the league and at 22 Konency has 24 goal season.

You have 1 great piece one maybe and a small ahl player

for

a #1d A future 1c and a top 6 24 goal winger.

Philly says no easily.

for some reason some people on this site seem to think provorov is a 1LD when philly has a better 1LD as does Toronto. much like hanafin the value of provorov has dropped quite a bit.

Frost could be a 1/ 2C but isn not yet. heck the guy couldn't even lead his stacked sau team to a OHL final. How good is he really? offence is there but no defence in his game.

Konecny is a solid top 6-9 guy much like kapanen is for Toronto.

when you add up all the value of the Toronto guys to the philly guys I think the value is pretty close to what other GMs around the league would view it.

Stop makijg it like every leafs player is garbage man, if we offered this for parayko and kyrou ud say hell no from the blues man. Marner>>provorov, so marner for prov and like konecny is pretty good imo.

I take it the Blues site doesn’t have enough traffic that he needs to troll the Leafs site?

The top two players drafted the same year as Frost were Hischier and Patrick. Neither one will be 1C on their team next year. A real 1C is a guy like Matthews, or Tavares, or Crosby. Frost will never be 1C. And neither will Thomas on St. Louis. They are very good players, but they are not elite. They will never lead their nhl teams in scoring.

I wouldn't call it trolling more like trying to keep reality in check here.

Let me know how trading marner for a young #1d works out for you. Probably the same as nylander and kappy did.

We didn’t need to trade Nylander or Kappy for one. We drafted them. And plugged the gap while these guys develop with UFA’s like Hainsey, Muzzin, Barrie. Which is exactly what should have happened, and will continue happening until our guys are ready, which from what I’ve been reading, shouldn’t be long now. As for reality check, you think Provorov or Parayko are worth Marner. That alone speaks enough.

First time ever I have to agree with redwing lol although I do think some variation of this trade could work. Any two of the 3 from Philly for Marner and a pick or lesser prospect may have some legs. Really don't want to lose lili.

First and foremost Leafs GM. When I say I don't think that Marner is worth Parayko I base it on 3 things. (1) parayko is an absolute stud dman that plays defense better than anyone in the nhl and proved that in the playoffs look at his numbers. Yes there is more to be desired from his offensive game but in the playoffs defense wins games. We can not replace him. We have enough fire power from our forward that we do not need to create a hole. (2) marner wants 10 - 11 million and parayko is signed for 5.5 for 3 more years so that alone makes paraykos value higher. (3) Parayko is a big, mobile, puck moving dman, with a killer shot, chara like reach and can physically play with the best. He is a #1rhd and that is the unicorn in this league.

so 1) Was best shut down dman in the playoffs
2) mkes 50% less than marner
3) #1rhd

Those three reasons are why Parayko is worth more than Marner who is a 90 pt winger. I am not hating. I went to my blues board and only 2 out of 39 people that have responded so far would trade parayko for marner.

Provorov and Konecny both had odd years. I would be hesitant to trade for them, and Frost is still unproven.

Parayko isn’t even 1RHD on the Blues. He’s a good, not great player. He might just actually be the best 2RHD in the league. There is a reason Parayko makes 50% less than Marner. They aren’t in the same class. Parayko is not elite. And his three year contract devalues him as opposed to the possibility of controlling Marner for over a decade, depending on the contract he signs this year. I’m not hating, I’m just pointing out the obvious. And the obvious is that Parayko is not worth Marner. Nowhere clear. I’m a big believer you get what you pay for. If Parayko is 50% cheaper than Marner, there is very good reason.

Petro is a top 10 15 Dman in the league with a bit more upside offensively parayko is in fact a #1rhd he got 25 mins a? night and was tasked with the other teams top lines. He was by far the best Dman in the playoffs.
