What? Komorov could fetch multiple picks right now, why would we add a top end prospect and a 2nd rounder to get a 2nd/ 3rd pairing defenceman

LEIPSIC is 5"9 not even close to high end. Why has he not made the team? Why has he been traded to multiple teams as he's over 20?

Ducks desperately need a top 6 left winger if they want to compete against the powerhouse teams (wild, Hawks, sharks) and JVR still has one more year after this.
Leafs get a good young top 4 d man. Ducks can keep all their young d (including MONTOUR who is apparently worth Crosby?) and we slide Leivo to replace JVR

Vatanen doesn't help too much defensively.
JVR and 2nd rounder and maybe a prospect might get Lind Holm.
That's who the leafs need but Ducks would be crazy to trade him.

Leivo replaces KOMAROV when Marner comes back and we don't have to scratch Soshnikov because he has been great on the 4th line.

NHL Draft:
To LEAFS: T.MYERS (RD)
To JETS: JVR (LW)
LEAFS get a good big 6"8 RD that can help keep the pucks out of the net. Give structure and has the experience to lead our d core. Only a year younger than JVR and will be 100% healthy by next year.
Jets will lose MYERS anyways to the expansion draft so they don't lose him for nothing.

healthy defence men are expensive, he hasn't played since Nov/ underwent surgery (lower body) gets paid 5.5 mil and hasn't had more than 40 points in a season since 09-10 (only once) leafs pass.
Our top 4 Dman that everyone wants is either coming through the system or through free agency, if there is a trade it happens after the draft and will most likely be with vegas.
