The Toronto Star reporting Nylander wants 8 million Leafs offering 6.5 million. Nylander is going to find what the wrath of leaf fans feels like if he continues his stance 6.5 over 7 or 8 years is fair. Nylander choked in playoffs and Matthews may be carrying his61 points

I think this standoff that nylander is in with our leafs is just hurting his image I would go 7 million max on an 8 year deal for him I would rather a bridge deal tho . The stand off shows me he is greedy and didn’t buy into what the leafs are trying to do trade him and be done with the side show it’s onlu going to get worse. I think offer Rick Nash a a 1 year deal at 3 million maybe he can play with Matthews and patty.

Looking at the posts on this site alone over the last 48 hours, it is clear that Leafs fans aren’t overly endeared by Nylander. Not one post has said Nylander’s is an indispensable part of the team and should get $8x8.

Like a Trouba, Nylander has revealed his true colours first opportunity he could. Causing a headache for Dubas and complete lack of respect for everyone else. Extremely selfish, he is not a team player and should be traded for someone who is from the area preferably and would be proud to wear the blue&white.

I don't disagree but not party to the discussions. Strikes me that when I sell something, I throw out a price that is higher than I want. And take what I originally wanted. Not sure he is greedy. Negotiating. But again, not there so maybe he is exactly that.
