I was wondering if Ottawa would bite if we offered Nylander and 2018 first and 2019 first. For Ek
Then try and sign him to 8 years 10 mil per
I am not sure how his ankle is if it will ever be 100% again but it would be nice to have him.

Eric is a phenomenal player for sure. His age and the amount of money Toronto would need to pay Karlson for less of his best years? Nylander plus 2 first rd picks, way to much. Nylander isn't going to move anytime soon, he's a leaf.

I think this standoff that nylander is in with our leafs is just hurting his image I would go 7 million max on an 8 year deal for him I would rather a bridge deal tho . The stand off shows me he is greedy and didn’t buy into what the leafs are trying to do trade him and be done with the side show it’s onlu going to get worse. I think offer Rick Nash a a 1 year deal at 3 million maybe he can play with Matthews and patty.

Why does everyone want to trade patty they brought him in for a reason and he still got 25 goals his a vet leader and the kids love him they can make the cap work. In a cap world there will always be cap concerns. But what we really need is for some one to say I’ll take less money and let’s build somthjng special. Jt was offered more money else where he wanted to do somthing special and left money on the table. If mattews marner nylander want to go down in history as something special in Toronto then they will all lead money on the table as well go bigger on your next contract when your 28 win a few cups between now and then and go to the highest bidder later.
