The Carolina trade is an underpayment. You may be able to get Pesce and like a pick for that package but I highly doubt Carolina throws in Trochek especially if they have to retain salary.
The Islanders trade I would do for sure but I think the Islanders would want an offensive price coming back as their defence is sound but their offence could use a little work. I mean unless they cannot re-sign Pulock because of the flat cap I would expect them to ask for Nylander.

Doesn't Trochek make like 5mil. can't afford that and Pulock will definately cost something like Nylander. now if we could get Pulock and Beauvilier for Nylander and something else i'd be all for it.

That Florida deal is a no brainer. All day, every day if Florida was so kind to offer that up I don’t think Dubas would hesitate for even a second to say yes.
We can do better than that for Brown. In fact, Edmonton already offered more than that and Leafs turned it down. Whether or no the deadline deal still is available, o don’t know. But I still think Brown is worth more than Benning straight up.

Why include Reimer? You could sign a UFA goalie for less then Reimer at 50% (1.7) retained who probably is better. Hutchinson made 1.3 and would probably sign for same on 1 year or less for 2 year contract say 2 years x 1 mil per to stay in league.
I keep Nylander. Trade #43 wherever you want.

I don’t like Reimer either. Believe it or not, he’s 9th overall in games played for Leafs goalies, and what that tells me is that we’ve given him more than enough chances to prove himself and hasn’t. Even in Florida he couldn’t get the starting job. Luongo retiring just mean Some florida can afford Bobrovsky now. Even if Goalie Bob doesn’t sign there, Reimer will not get the starter job. Florida will go for Mrazek or someone else first. Only if they have absolutely no one does Reimer start full time.

Johnsson and kapanen are not as good as Nylander so what I’m saying is our top 6 wouldn’t be as good couturier is a 1/ 2 center so I think putting him on the 3C would have the same affect that it did with kadri if I’m the leafs I keep Nylander.

Other than the Wilson for Nylander part, I like the rest. Downgrade Kadri for seller in order to upgrade Zaitsev to Niskanen looks good. Wilson has an even more bloated contract than Nylander, and is an even bigger cheapshot bonehead than Kadri. Washington can keep him.

Absolute worst case scenario if the leafs lose the first overall and some how lose the 2nd and 3rd pick who do you take. Do you go for tkachuk or pick chychrun or Juolevi. If it's one of the 2 Dman what Dman do you take.

Its two for one deal for the Leafs and the Yotes get a home town scoring winger.

Not exactly; I didn't type it too well.
It's tkachuk (assuming the Leafs are 4th and he's still available to pick) for Strome and the 1st.
For Mathews (if the Leafs were to pick 1st) it would have to be Strome, their 1st pick, and an A prospect - maybe
Domi or Dvorak - maybe start the negotiations with even more than that.
You have to get a lot for Mathews, he's the only A+ here and the Finns, Strome, Domi, and Tkachuk are A's at best.

Tzachuk is NHL ready now after his first OHL year in which he almost put up the same numbers on a weaker team (Note +45). He delivered better than Strome in the w. jun. He is aggressive; more so than Strome.
Note that I am not putting Strome down; I am proposing a trade for him based on Americas need to have an American hero in a sport historically dominated by others. It isn't whether the players are the better or not, it's based on the wants of the teams. TOR needs an "A" center badly. Arizona needs their "American Sniper" (sorry couldn't resist). Tzachuk will be a great player; maybe even better than his father. The pick exchange is required and is a price to pay for their specific needs.
If they choose not to; then the Leafs would get a play making sniper. No Loss. So my question to you is; Would you give up the other package for Mathews?

The point of the prospects was to even the deal. I understand arvidson is more attractive due to his cap hit but Nylander would be an upgrade for Nashville. Only suggested this as I hear Nashville was interested. I think Nylander is better than arvidson but tolvanen is better than Bracco. Nashville won’t trade their dman so if they are interested, they would have to give up something from their offence. Toronto can add if need be.

That’s a pretty solid d line up for now. Can always trade Faulk later when Liljegren is ready but that would definitely improve the defensive side.
