Why wouldn’t Carolina make this trade they have so many top notch d prospect and no offence it has already been said Carolina is crazy over Kapanen Pesce is bottom pair on their team and have bean and other waiting to move in this trade makes total sense for both teams.

Agreed. Unless it's a move for someone to play ahead of Zaitsev and Hainsey, there's no point in making a move. The Leafs have a plethora of bottom-pairing defensemen.

I agree with Marner. We need to improve our defence, not cripple it by trading our best puck moving dman. Any addition to our blue line will be aquired using draft picks and maybe a prospect. I would be extremely surprised if anyone of our currrnr roster was traded. Brown. maybe. But Kap is still young and the ceiling too high. He’ll be fantastic near in a shutdown/ play making role with Kadri next year.
