ok LOU let's make another Bernier type trade with Lupul.

Lupul for conditional pick (Any other team)

Same conditions as the Bernier trade.

A 2nd round pick if the other team makes the Stanley Cup Finals and Wins and Lupul plays at least half of the playoff games.
OR
A 3rd round pick if the other team makes the Stanley Cup Finals, but loses, and Lupul plays at least half of the playoff games.

That trade for Bernier is terrible, no guarantee of any pick, the last part of a condition should have been, if all else does not happen, Leafs get a 4th. Could end up getting nothing for him.

They might just play Lupul as much as possible this year to expose him next year or buy him out at that point. Ton of talent but brittle player. Sad really.

Honestly I would trade him for a 2020 7th round pick. Just get rid of that salary

It is sad really. however I don't think he will be anywhere near the Leafs team period. don't forget he wasn't included in the year end team pic and they gave his locker stall away during the year!!. yikes!
