Just to make this absolutely clear. WE ARE NOT OFFER SHEETING DOUGIE HAMILTON.
All of you who think we should are ignorant and oblivious to what has happened in our past. We could of already had him if we didn't already give up the same package for Kessel. look at us now trying to ship him off.
So please no one else bring this up. period. end of story.
Smarter idea would to make a deal with them so they can sign Dougie and get draft picks in return.
Tor - Kelly, Bos 1st or Phi 2nd
Bos - Rights to Panik, Brennan, Biggs, pitts 4th

U must be a Bruins fan lmao! Wrong site buddy!
2.) 11 Jun 2015 02:53:37
Do u have a INSIDE source saying the leafs wouldn't offer sheet him or anybody els? Why would Toronto want to help the Bruins situation so they could sign Hamilton? There's no friends when it comes to business and your hockey team.
3.) 11 Jun 2015 07:26:16
Helping each other out. we get a 1st rounder in exchange for spare parts and they can sign hamilton. Must be a Bruins fan? I don't understand your logic. Explain your reasoning for saying that. I don't need an "inside" source to know they will not offer sheet anyone. Why would we give up multiple draft picks in a rebuild for one piece to the puzzle. Again my reasoning, see the Kessel deal and result.
4.) 11 Jun 2015 13:11:11
I would give up any pick in the draft -4OA to get dougie. 0 Logic here
5.) 11 Jun 2015 20:49:51
Too bad its not just one pick on an offer sheet. Dougie gets at least 5.5 mil. Means we give up a first second and third.
6.) 11 Jun 2015 21:45:30
What's your logic for acting like u know for sure they wouldn't offer sheet Hamilton? Your last statement was the smarter thing would be too make trade with them so they can sign Hamilton! Why the hell would we want to help them out so they can sign him for? U must be a Bruins fan because you hate the idea of the leafs possibly offer sheeting a good d man lol. U make no sense man! U won't get boston's 2015 1st for spare parts point blank period! End of story!

Tor - Kessel, Bozak, Pitts 4th round
Car - Semin, Skinner, 5th overall, Mckeown
1.) 09 Jun 2015 23:10:08
If they take out bozak and mckeown, I think this is still a deal that could be made. I was hoping the leafs would do this deal and parlay Bozak for 2 2nd round picks and maybe a low level prospect

Tor - Kessel
Fla - 2015 1st (11th overall), Pirri, Gudbranson
I know everyone wants Huberdeau or Bjugstad but let's all be serious, were not getting one of those guys. Pirri and Gudbranson are 24 and 23 years old with Nhl experience and high upside. We also get the 11th overall pick to make it our 3rd first round pick this year.
Draft - Marner/Hanifin/Strome 4th, Meier 11th, Kylington 24th
Kessel has proved to be less than what we expected in Toronto. His goal scoring ability makes him very valuable and it is time to move on to make a new identity in Toronto.

Ari - JVR, Pitts 2016 2nd or (Leafs 2016 2nd), Finn, Reimer
Tor - 3rd Overall
Arizona still has plenty of picks in this draft and two first rounders next year. Leafs don't have to retain salary to get a high pick. JVR was a number 2 overall and my favourite Leaf.
I think JVR is our most valuable player past prospects like reilly, nylander. Don't see Arizona giving up the pick for Kessel or Phaneuf. Arizona is a Cap team and JVR has a very reasonable contract. Leaf fans have give to get. If they prefer Kessel all the better.
Draft Hanifin and Strome
Prospect pool - Reilly, Gardiner, Nylander, Brown, Gauthier, Percy, Hanifin and Strome.
I do believe Kadri will come into the year with fire and Babcock will be able to groom him into the player he has the potential to be. The guy is still 24

Bos - Phaneuf, Pitts 2nd, Devane
Tor - 2015 1st, Savard, Lucic
Turn that pick into Merkley or Roy
This trade is largely due to Boston's cap trouble and they need to sign Hamilton, Spooner, Connolly, Bartowski.
I think the Phaneuf and Lucic value is pretty equal give or take. In exchange for taking on Savard's contract we switch pitts 2nd for Bos 1st so they can sign all of their players.
I realize we already have Horton's contract buried but Savard's deal ends in 2 years and let's face it we can pay that off.
Am I way off?

Maybe Gardiner instead of Lupul and Polak to pry Draisaitl.

I like the idea of getting young assets for those guys. I think you've undervalued kessel and bozak a little bit. I wouldn't mind the return for kessel but would try to get a bit more. Holland is still young and has shown potential, would like to see something of less value in his spot.
Overall good value but that is a lot of cap for Washington to take on. with big contracts already locked up and only having 12 guys signed for next year, I don't see this being realistic. Would have to chance Polak to Brennan probably.

Don't believe its ridiculous. Couture is a top line center at 26, same as Van Riemsdyk. Hertl is 21 and has proven he can score in the NHL even with a sophmore slump. we get a 2nd round pick in this draft and still a top prospect with the 9th pick. Thornton, kessel, marleau, pavelski plus the 4th pick is probably the big move the sharks need to make.
I would try to change it a bit by taking out the 4th and 9th overalls. Maybe throw in a defensive prospect of our own in Finn or Granberg.
Kessel, Biggs, Finn/Granberg
Couture, Hertl, 2nd round dp.
or Kessel, Biggs, Finn, Nsh 24th
Couture, Hertl, 9th overall
