I'd like to see a second line C and a puck moving d somehow

He's young and locked up for a few years. Plus he's not super loved in Anaheim right now.
Plus Robertson could sweeten it enough as a plucky young goal scorer.
As for the D.
I heard a few people talking about Buffalo wanting to get something else in nets.
How about
Stolartz and a second
For
Byram.
And then free agency I really want Laughton back. He was misused under the previous coach and I really think he could be huge with culture development.
I don't think this alone fixes anything. But with some other smart moves it could be a pretty good looking team again!

If Anaheim needed LHD's, there could be something there to work with. Problem is, they don't and Rielly struggles on the right side. I do believe there could be something that revolves around Carlo and MacT. I have mentioned before Carlo, Stolarz for Mact T, Luneau and Husso. If the Leafs were willing to take on Husso, may be a deal Anaheim would look at as they have good LHD puck movers, which Luneau is, but from the right side.
A more stay at home vet RHD should appeal. Stolarz, when healthy, is an upgrade on Dostal and Husso. This also gives the Ducks more cap space for UFA D-men.
I don't see Buffalo giving up one of their young top 4 D for a goalie. But, maybe you're right.

Personally I’m not opposed to Mason McTavish; I think everyone is too critical of his skill set.
Remember he is only 23yo.
He’s been criticized for lack of consistency which could be a function of youth and how he’s been handled by management.
I’d be okay with him as a 3C this year and waiting until next year to put Tavares at 3C.

They don't seem to believe in Lafreniere anymore so he may not be the best chip.

I've thought a lot about that same trait idea.
They get a good scoring. Winger and a veteran. D. Who's great in the locker room and we get a prospect
Plus it would be nice to see Robertson go somewhere where he might be used better.

Buuim a third likly being a D and Hronik would be a crazy D revamp.
Plus Brock could be sick in the top six.
