Not a fair trade for the Leafs. Dylan was a flop against London. He clearly doesn't have the drive to be a #1 center when presented with the opportunity to prove it. He also blew a chance to prove his worth at the World Junior last year. A lethargic center is a cancer on a team. Leafs have had enough of those. He will be the flop of last years draft given that he went 3rd overall, wait and see.
Bozak is a 2nd line center on any non cup team, affordable, energetic, experienced, great on face offs, and a quality person. He alone makes a fair trade.
Lupul is a gifted player; unfortunately he's made of glass. But he is of value if he can be kept healthy or put on the LTIR.
So no to the trade from the Leafs standpoint.

Strome is right up there with Marner in terms of being one of the top prospects in the NHL. No way that package nets him.

First think, with the Leafs drafting Matthews, do they even need Strome? The Leafs are better off trying to sign Stamkos, and role the 1-2 punch of Stamkos and Matthews! Not to mention they have Kadri as well!

Totally agree Torontobuds. Be better off getting a draft pick out of the Yotes for that package (need to add of course but worth it if a good defender is still available in the Yotes' spot

I wouldn't put Gardiner in that deal. Either way I don't understand the thought process of all the fans trying to trade Matthews already. We finally did it. Why would be trade a dollar for 4 quarters?

If you can sell this to Arizona, you would be the GM of the year. You would be lucky to get OEL for that! I wouldn't if I was Arizona. They need D-men and other then JVR and Bozak, there is no real value in the other guys.
