W finally get the defensive specialist we need to play with Morgan....Heinola is a young D that can replace Giordano when he hangs them up and Peeke who does not have to play top minutes can switch in and out with Liljegren and then move to 2nd pair next year when we don't resign Klingberg...then we have Konecny....decent priced RW that replaces all or most of what Willy can score....bt comes with more heart and compete level

I’d rather just keep Knies as our own Koneckny type at a fraction of the cost. Also, Knies, Brodie and a 1st is way too much to pay regardless.

I like Knies as well. but we are in win now mode and as promising as he was been he is still only potential where as we know what we get with konecny.

@ryken. I disagree that it's an over pay . Philly is basically getting Knies and a first. Brodie is ufa after this year and gets replaced by Pesce. needs to go gur cdo reasons.

The first trade Carolina would be taking on $4M in cap, which they don't have. Value wise, it is probably pretty close.
I don't think Clb trades Peeke for a 2nd. I think they want offence in return.
Jets, I think are higher on Heinola than Robertson.
I think that may do it for Konecny. Giving up Knies is a tough one for me even though I like Konecny. Leafs have nothing like Knies in the system. That's a tough one to say if I would do it or not.

That Konecny trade is right on the edge for me. I love Konecny, and I'm always wary of prospects, but I do probably make the trade.

I think Nylander is the far better player and Pesce and a 2nd an insufficient return.
Konecny as much as I love his heart is somewhat injury prone and is 26 (will be 27 before the end of the season) so I would prefer to keep Knies who will only be 21 in October.

I would guess you are referring to McMann not McCann on the 3rd line with Kampf and Jarnkrok.
