Wtf is that Winnipeg trade lmao? Barrie is worth a prospect+ a first round pick at minimum.

1. Get rid of theWinnipeg trade and Buffalo trade because Miller isn’t that good, and Barrie is the offensive guy we need while Reilly is out. Plus he is worth waaayyy more then a 3rd lol. He has 32 points in 57 games my guy, he will probably hit 40-45, maybe even 50.

2.Swap Kapanen with Johnsson in the NJ trade and add Ian Scott.

3. Just trade Ceci away, anyone would be happy to take him now because he won’t count against the cap, add like a 4th round pick or something to him for someone to take him.

If Muzzin being rental+ is worth a first and two B prospects Barrie isn't worth "at least" a first and a prospect. Probably closer to a 2nd that may become a first.

Why trade Ceci if he won't be back until playoffs instead of using the LTIR to your advantage?

The Jets wouldn't pay more than a 3rd round pick for UFA Barrie so that's a reasonable trade.

Then the Jets will not get Barrie. Barrie is a top pairing D-man and scores a tonne, he is certainly worth a 1st, and at a bare minimum what Pitt gave up for Zucker!

Lol funny how we fans over value our teams players but Barrie is worth more than a 3rd round pick period end of story. If that is all that's offered then you keep him .

Especially at the cost against the cap Barrie is a steal.

airh The possible exception of the NJ trade, all of these trades favor the other teams. Buffalo o my trades a 2nd and 5th for Miller and his value has dexreased significantly since. He is not worth a roster player. In actual fact, and you can look it up yourself, it’s not that hard, it is rare that a defenseman who is not a clear “true” top line defenseman will bring back a roster player. Middle six and bottom six players (Miller is a bottom six player) bring in picks and middling prospects or fringe players. They don’t bring in roster players unless one is included as a cap dump for financial reasons.

*bottom pair (sic) . Miller is a middle pairing/ bottom pairing defenseman. My bad. My word predictor has a tendency to fill in for me and, if I’m not careful, mistakes like this creep in sometimes. Usually not a problem. But sometimes it can be.

I have my feeling about Barrie abundantly clear since the trade but in all reality he makes 2.75 does he not? Name me a better D making that much.
