Going to run an experiment, everyone comment on these trades and I will fill you in after the comments.

Can’t see the islanders trading a 2 million dollar right handed young Defenseman for a guy that everyone knows we are trying to move, and is a bottom six forward with a second round pic. You’d have to add more scoring fro them to consider it .

1. Leafs aren't trading Anderson, we already have a backup goalie problem, we don't need a starting goalie one.

2. I don't think Arizona makes that trade because they are still rebuilding. Rebuilding teams don't trade first round picks unless they are getting something they can't refuse (like Marner) .

3. No way Islanders go for that trade. If they wanted it the trade would've happened at the deadline.

So everyone is still backing andersen. Surprised our fan base is so blind. Riddick had like 30 or 40 starts for Calgary and carried them to first in their division. Mind you with a good defense. Wouldn't mind seeing a different goalie in a game 7 for Toronto. He chokes in games where we can put the other team away. The other 2 trades were only really there to distract from the real experiment of finding out where people sit with Freddie. I said sell him last year when he choked. I'm saying it again this year. Leafs don't win a cup with Andersen. He gets nervous in the playoffs or something.

I would make that’s Calgary trade in a heartbeat Randy. Tkachuk alone is worth making that trade for.

I suggested trading Andersen recently too, and like you here, I too got a lukewarm response. He’s a very good goalie, but like you, I feel he can’t play the big game. If we go out first round of playoffs next year, you got to think some changes will be made. Especially if Andersen can’t steal a game for us.

History shows repeatedly, including this year, that a goalie is all the difference between playing hockey or playing golf in June. I would love to see a Leafs game in June one day again.
