That's crazy. I was just about to post Marner's rights and Kampf to Utah for McBain. I think it is doable, although I don't think Utah is top of Marner's list.

I really think there could be something with Anaheim for Marner's rights. I really hope Luneau comes our way if a deal can be struck. It seems like the perfect fit for Marner. There are strong down the middle with young guys Carlsson and MacTavish and have Strome as well. Where they are weak is the right side. Hardly any right shot RW's. Marner would be "the" guy there and I think that would appeal to him Gudas has the C right now iirc, but only has one year left on his deal. Captaincy is something they could also offer Marner in a year.

No need to buyout Reaves, he has 1 year left and is basically a wash if sent to the Marlies.

2025-26: $450k
2026-27: $450k

A buyout of Reaves makes no sense when Leafs can simply send him to the Marlies eliminating $1.15 million of his salary from their cap, leaving only $250,000 against the cap for one years instead of $450,000 for two years!

If Utah would be interested in Marner and Robertson’s signing rights plus a $2.4 million dollar contract (Kampf) it would be a terrific deal for the Leafs to acquire their new 3rd line center.

If the Ryan Reaves buyout is the only complaint you have it must be a good post. @CKPS Domi elevates his game in playoffs - minus the dumb penalties but some of those penalties were because of his name and were a joke. Domi also shown he has chemistry with Austin from two years ago. Bring his value and confidence up by starting him on that line to see how it goes.
