This still may not be enough to land Trouba, but basically Toronto gets him for JVR, Kapanen and 2nd Round Pick. all parties fill needs.

No more Americans. They should move trouba to buffalo for ristolinan and laugh for the next 10 years like they did with the Kane trade. Enough of trouba to the leafs. He is a 3/4 dman who will want large money. We just got rid of one of those to Ottawa by luck. Let's not tempt fate again

Why not just go after Lindholm with that package? Three way trades are tough to come by in the NHL. Keep the 2nd rounder and JVR/Kapanen for Lindholm is still an overpayment but he's going to be a great top pairing defender for a long time.
