Condition pick is if Leafs reach coherence finals it becomes a 1st 2019 and if they don't, it stays as a 2nd 2019
It's going to be difficult for the Leafs to add on defence that isn't someone from their system so why not just bolster the offence for the playoff run and honestly try to score more goals than the other team and Panarin could be another threat the opposing team will have to worry about
Columbus receives a very good young players who is still growing and two decent picks before they lose him for nothing in FA
Meanwhile for Toronto I believe Trevor Moore is ready to step up and could take one of their spots

You worsen the depth of the Leafs with this trade and also worse after this year as the Leafs will not be able to retain Panarin.

Moore is looking good. We might graduate both him and Bracco to the team next year. We are coming to a point where we need to pinch every last penny we have. If we need to trade away Brown or someone else to free up cap space, then having a couple young, cost controlled players coming up from the Marlies regularly is the only way to remain competitive in this day and age.
Another open question for the forum: what players do you see making the jump to the NHL next year besides Moore and Bracco?

1.) If I could pick any of those players I would say Wheeler, because he is the best player on this little list. Don't know if Kadri would find chemistry with him but Wheeler would be a great addition.

do you think cody franson is going to resign with the leafs and his much do you think he is worth
1.) I don't. That reason is because I think he will be looking for a 4-6 year deal worth 25-30 mil.

I thought you said Leivo will replace JVR once he's traded and you including him in the trade as well.

Never mind my comment above. It'll be his fourth year in either the AHL or NHL so he's not exempted. Thought the rule was only for the NHL. Rule states first and second year players in the NHL or AHL are allowed to be exempted.

Murray won't go through expansion draft. Didn't play enough years to in the NHL. So he's safe no matter what.

If we are getting Strome back, I'd rather not take Thackuck. I'd go for a defender either Chrychrun or juolevi cause we need another good defence prospect. We are packed up front even with the addition of Storme. And with our Pittsburgh pick, I'd take goalie Carter Hart. Gives us a good goalie prospect for the future.
