To Pittsburg:
Gardiner, the rest of Kessel's salary, Leivo, Sparks, 2020 2nd
To Leafs:
Schultz, Sheahan

With Sparks, Pittsburg could start Jarry in the minors to develop him for 2 more years and either use him as a trade asset or keep him as their backup.

Then leafs trade to replace Gardiner
To Dallas:
2019 1st, Sheahan
To Leafs:
Lindell, Faska
Leafs could really use Faska's low cap hit next year and they could trade Lindell after this year for picks/prospects

Lines
Marleau/Matthews/Nylander
Hyman/Tavares/Marner
Faska/Kadri/Kapanen
Johnsson/Lindholm/Brown
*Ennis
Reilly/Schultz
Lindell/Zaitsev
Dermott/Ozhiganov
*Hainsey
Anderson
Mclheiny
Pickard to waivers

Ok after the waivers thing this is what happens instead:
Sparks comes out of Pittsburg trade, so does Sheahan, and the 2020 2nd changes to a 2020 3rd, leafs add a 2019 4th while Pittsburg adds a 2019 7th
Sparks is backup
Dallas trade doesn’t happen
Lines:
Marleau / Matthews/ Nylander
Hyman/ Tavares/ Marner
Ennis/ Kadri/ Kapanen
Johnsson/ Lindholm/ Brown
*Goat
Reilly/ Schultz
Dermott/ Zaitsev
Hainsey/ Ozhiganov
*Holl
Anderson
Sparks

Now is t more believable?

Oh for god sakes, enough already with trading for players, then trading them for picks and prospects a year later. First of all, that is not Dubas' style, which I think is becoming pretty evident and what is with trading retained salary? That is the weirdest thing you have come up with yet.

Am34

Whether u agree or not let him post his thoughts. U don't like, don't read.

From his thoughts come perhaps other ideas as well. Nothing wrong with that.

@am34

Mostleaf gets A’s for originality. At least he tries. You’ve never posted a single trade proposal. Mostleaf puts something up every day, sometimes more often than that even. Once you grow a pair and start posting your own proposals, maybe we can take you more seriously.

No worries mostleaf and we'll said leafsgm

Hey I get it when people don't agree. Sometimes I post things to see what people add knowing full well, for example, that Gardiner for Panarin won't work. But in the end I hear people's thoughts

This is supposed to be fun for god's sake.

Obviously you guys can't take feedback on the trades you post. All I did was provide feedback/ opinion based on the trade proposed. First of all, you can't trade retained salary under the CBA and I offered up my opinion on Dubas' style, that he is not one to trade for a core piece, then trade him a year later for picks and/ or prospects. He is looking to bring a cup to Toronto, not change the make up of the team drastically every year to achieve it. Lastly, if it wasn't the same sh*t, different day with him, I would have probably stayed neutral as I do enjoy reading peoples ideas and proposals. You guys just can't accept feedback if it's against your thought process I guess.

AM34's comment was valid, and was no more harsh than when people claim the other team "laughs and hangs up the phone. " The trades proposed don't jive with how Dubas does things and you can't trade retained salary.

The Brassard trade last year highlights this. Vegas first had to acquire Brassard from Ottawa, then trade him to Pittsburgh and then had the option to retain salary. You can't simply trade salary.
