This is crazy! No way does Nylander accept a 2 yr deal for US $3.75 million per. And the Leafs should let Gardiner walk or trade him for a decent prospect annd draft pick.

I can see Nylander signed to a 5 yr deal at 6.5 million per season with the Leafs.

Nylander takes a 2 or 3 year bridge or a 7 year deal. Leafs can play hard ball.

Up the trade offer to include a first round pick for Pesce and extend Jake to 6 years at 5.5 MM.

Than Leafs can keep everyone for next year. Than offer Willy a 8 year extension after the second year of the bridge at a higher amount without Marleau's salary.

Hockey is a team game, this way Leafs add Pesce as #1 RHD. Leafs fit under the 2019-20 cap of 82 MM.

Marner gets 6x8.5.then will get 8x10.5 next negotiation= 14yrs 135 million
Matthews gets 8x11 then will get 6x12 next negotiation= 14yrs 160 million

That's a lot of money.

No way Nylander get 3x7, if he's doing a bridge deal, it's in the $5.5M range.

Marner gets a 8x $7.5 deal

Matthews gets a 8x $11 deal.

Matthews and Marner get second deal when they are 28. huge difference

In end Matthews gets 11.43over 14 years

Nylander gets 11 over 11

Marner is the home discounted player at 9.64 over 14
