Leafs would not b able to fit those Flames players with there salary cap. Maybe Tkachuk and R Anderson for those Leaf players would work. Why would the Oilers trade Kassian for Goat and Petan?

Tkachuk is still an RFA as well. Not sure what he is looking for either, but at this time it is better to sit and wait on Mitch and see what transpires.

At this point I don’t think anyone is interested in paying the price for marner unless things get ugly and marner walks for a cheaper cap hit to prove a point but right now Toronto has the advantage like I said before there’s no way he sits out any games it will hurt his value more that way.

Agree, hard to do, but some team has to make a move you would think. wouldn't be nice that a player would step up for its team and say I'm here to win, even it is a little less then expected.

Marner can’t walk for a cheaper cap hit. Lol. If he signs an offer sheet for less money, Leafs will just match it for sure. It’s been pointed out many times that players are at a disadvantage coming off their ELC and looking to re-sign. This is a good example of that clear advantage for management. If Marner wants to play, he has to sign for what Dubas is offering.
