If you just read that Liljgren is going to be traded, don't count on it. I just don't see the leafs throwing away a RHD that will be in the NHL at some point next year, even if it's not at the very start. He will be a top 4 RHD, we just have to let him develop.
Leafs kept Sparks for a reason, I don't see them trading him for Mclheiny when they made a decision to keep Sparks. It would make Dubas look like a fool.
I would say a 1st and Kapanen or a 1st, Johnsson, and a different prospect gets this deal done. Maybe the leafs throw in Hutchison for extra.

I would rather give up Kapanen over Johnsson at this point. Kapanen will cost more to re-sign, is on RW which is much stronger side than LW, and will bring a better return than Johnsson.
Personally though, I really hope to see these guys get on either the matthews or Tavares line together and really light it up.

Agree, hard to do, but some team has to make a move you would think. wouldn't be nice that a player would step up for its team and say I'm here to win, even it is a little less then expected.

If we could get these 2 guys from philly for this or a combination of zaitsev plus. and it might have to be johnsson in the deal to make it happen or do you tempt them with gardiner?
