I’ve been on this site for a while, more than most. I don’t post often but this is one of the better proposals i’ve seen. I hate loosing marner. Arguably our best player, but its makes us stronger now and in the long run.

The leafs need to stick to the plan and continue the rebuild. I've watched every game this year and they are still not ready for a deep playoff run.
Stock the pool,
Trade
JVR - To anyone that will pay 1st and a 2nd.
Bozak - To the pens 1st rnd pick (if Reeves can demand a 1st rounder so can bozie)
Gardiner - trade him in the Off season, easily get a first rounder and maybe more
Komarov - 2nd rounder
This will put us at the bottom of the league but it will help in the long run.
I don’t see these guys helping us get to the Cup finals. If we can get 3 future first rounders and 2 2nd rounders we will be laughing in 3/ 4 years.

(Del Cole has not been developing like the islanders want and they wasted a high pick on him. I feel they would ask too much for him. He was taken 5th overall and he's not even ranked in the top 30th of his draft year)
Leafs: JVR, Dermott or Tobias Lindberg
Draft targets for the 15th
- Cal Foot (ranked 18th)
- Nic Hague (ranked 14th could be picked in top 10 because of his size)
- Cale Makar
- Eeli Tolvanen (was ranked 8th but slipping because of his size, TSN said he could slip to 18th)
- Timothy Lijigren (ranked 12th right now) he could slip like chychrun
I like this draft year, there is a lot of hidden talent. We could come out like bandits if we could get NYI's pick. Plus we would still have our 17th round pick. This would bolster our defence for the future. Our only weak area would be Leftwing. Islanders could actually consider this to help JT sign long term.
I just want next season to start already!

JVR gets at minimum, Pulock, the 1st and another prospect.
Anything less than that is just undervaluing JVR. Pulock is not that good, the 1st is a 15th (long after the quality players are gone) and even if you add the 2nd which would make this deal similar to Hanzal's (a 3rd/ 4th line center) JVR is much better than Hanzal.
It's still not enough. JVR is a 1st line LW on any team.

You are right. JVR is worth more, It's hard to gauge how clubs value their prospect's. I can see JVR playing with the islanders.
(BARZEL could be untouchable in NYI eyes but could we pry him away? )

I'd say trade him for a 1st round pick and a 2nd Round pick.
