I brought up a similar trade a few weeks ago and I still think this is the better trade option for both teams. Where the teams are $$$$ strapped player movement can occur where both sides benefits without impacting the $$$$. Dubas knows what he is getting in these players and the Leafs know what they are getting in Bunting. The other benefit for the Leafs to do this is it creates space other players. There will however need to be another trade to create the $$$$ space required to facilitate this move. This move could be one for a 3rd C who knows.

Randy2 - I agree with you but the kid is demanding a change of environment. Then just give him the change. The grass is not always greener on the other side. This is just a LOL moment.

I think is one of the more realistic Team oriented trade concerning Robertson. He gets a second chance with his old coach, He also gets a change of environment. As for Mercer this will help to build the youth movement.

If we are considering Pitts as trading partner what about
Robertson, Jarnkrok and Steeves
for Bunting.
His numbers have fallen but his best number were with the Leafs (maybe they could be reignited) .

This would be a good trade for the leafs. This would create some spot for new additions and give the team the chance to improve the bottom 6 scoring and toughness.
