Matthews to Arizona would leave a huge hole in the future at center ice as both Tavares and Bergeron’s career’s are likely over after this season for Bergeron and next season for Tavares.
So unless Logan Cooley was included in the deal I do not think anyone in LeafLand would be interested.

To Arizona: Matthews, Knies, Robertson, Niemala

To Leafs: Logan Cooley, Clayton Keller, Lawson Crouse and Jack McBain along with a 2024 - 2nd round pick and 2025 - 1st round pick.
