Three trades that Toronto may make this week.

Toronto trades Muzzin
To
Los Angeles for Johnathan Quick

Toronto trades Nylander and Rights to Campbell

To
New Jersey Devils for Miles Woods, Pavel Zacha, Blackwood and a 2nd in 2023

Toronto trades Kerfoot, Sandin and 1st in 2023
To
Vancouver for JT Miller

Is Quick really the answer?

Well Dubas wanted Fleury at 37 yrs and would of had to give him a 2yr deal anyway.

Quick in only 1 yr and Los Angeles need a LD and Muzzin may wish to head home, back to LA.

If Toronto could get Blackwood out of New Jersey he could rebound to become the started next year and he his much younger with a lot of up side.

Plus Toronto has alot of young goalies in thier system certainly one or enough two will be able to make the jump to the NHL.

If not Quick then a trade for Gibson would be choice two with Kallgren as a backup.

I am not confident in Kuemper or Campbell at $5 million for 4yrs.

Significant undervalue of Nylander in the trade to the Devils. Blackwood has negative value, much like Mrazek. Numbers were terrible for 2 years now.

Plus that they acquired another goalie, it's even worse.

Muzzin for Quick works for me. ’salaries are almost the same and Quick only has one year left on his contract while Muzzin has two.

I like the NJ trade except I would much prefer Michael McLeod to Miles Wood.

A big no to Miller as he would be walking away as a FA next summer unless Leafs are prepared to commit $8 - $9 million a year for 6 or 7 years to a 30 year old player.
That would be another massive mistake by Dubas IMHO!
