Nylander playing along fellow star Swede makes alot of sense it would give the ducks a true star player OEL add veteran depth incase gudas or trouba walk.

For the leafs they get mctavish who will slot in at 2c and platoon face offs with jt they also get mintyukov a mobile offensive dman with alot of upside and a chance to draft another good player with the first mctavish and nylander both signed long term.

So then your adding two good young Dmen
Mintyukov and Clarke
two young centers in
Byfield and Mctavish and a top prospect inGreentree plus a first.
Resign Laughton and give him the C!
Then sign a couple guys in free agency with the extra Cap money!

OEL will get you a first a decent player, he playing good and an excellent pick up for a contender
Nylander 2 first picks and good player
If the leafs did your deal you would be complaining about it.

@borje21 OEL is 35 he got 30 pts not 50 hahah for Toronto it isn’t about rebuilding they will want guys that can contribute now and into next season so 1st are nice but ideally they get younger guys that can help keep the competitive window open.

@Goat love the prop! I’d potentially try for Stian Solberg D prospect in the Anaheim deal instead of another pick. We would maybe have to take a 2nd instead of a first as well. Again, gives us a 2C (McTavish) and a couple strong Dmen. With Marner4life’s proposal our D once Danford is up with the big club is looking pretty strong, mobile with some bite!

I’m going to be polite in my response. OEL is 34 and is signed till 36. Has 32pts and plays over 20mins a game and can play both left and Right side and Aav of $3.5m. He is definitely worth a 1st and a prospect. If u don’t get that u keep him. Nylander worth multiple draft picks and prospects.

If the teams you r trading them to are in the playoffs that means they are high picks in the first rd not as much value like in the top 10. that's why u get more. Anaheim is playoff team not lottery team so 1st rd pick doesn't hold value as much as you think. If it was me I’d rather get either Carlson or Gauthier over mctavish.

Marnerlife you are so light it’s actually scary how ppl are praising these trades. Matthews at 23yrs old had 41g and 66pts in 51games. Lol byfield is 23yrs old and has 9g and 28pts in 50games. He will never bring u the production Matthews has brought. Clarke was a healthy scratch last year for parts of the season and is just now having a productive first season at age 22 which is good but no guarantee he will be a stud. Mind you I like the kid. Greentree still in the ohl so no guarantee he becomes an everyday good or elite player in nhl. There needs to be at least a 1st rd pick added to this if not a 1st and a 2nd. Matthews is back up to a ppg and will surely finish over a ppg production. He is worth this much on his own including my pick proposal. Domi would be given to LA for free. Which I don’t mind.
