This discussion show how out of touch Leafs fans are about other teams. The proposed deal is absolutely absurd.
Hagelin is a very valuable part of the Penguins and they aren't looking to trade him, let alone buy him out. He was absolutely fantastic the second half of last year. His forecheck is among the most disruptive in hockey and he fits great with Malkin. There is more to hockey than goals. I doubt that there is a single Pens fan who would rather lose Hagelin that Sheary who scored 40+ 5x5 goals in the last two years.
Yeah, he is paid a bit too much, but the Pens can afford it. They are in great cap shape to sign their few RFA's. The only scenario where he gets dealt is if they make a big move to acquire an expensive player, and even then they would move Sheary and possibly Sheahan first.

Another post showing Leafs fans being completely out of touch. Guentzel is a star in the making and the Pens would never part with him. He had 13 goals in the playoffs last year and 10 goals in 12! games this year.
